By using encryptmyai (the “service”), you agree to these terms. The service is operated by WeLinkAnything Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. If you don’t agree to these terms, don’t use the service.
1. What the service is
encryptmyai is a drafting tool for knowledge-based professionals. It encrypts your private knowledge base in your browser (zero-knowledge storage), uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate drafts in your voice, and lets you copy or download the output. See Data security for the technical detail.
2. Your account
You need a valid email address to use the service. One account per person; shared accounts are not supported. You’re responsible for keeping access to your sign-in email secure. If someone gains access to your inbox, they can sign in as you.
3. Your passphrase
Your encryption passphrase is yours alone. We never see it, we can’t recover it, and losing it means losing access to your knowledge base permanently. Store your passphrase in a password manager. If you lose it, you’ll need to delete your knowledge base and start again.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use encryptmyai to produce content that:
- Infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy
- Violates applicable law
- Impersonates another person in a deceptive way
- Attempts to extract or reverse-engineer other users’ data
- Automates abusive load on the service
5. Payment and cancellation
The Free tier is free. Paid tiers are billed monthly in advance, in Pounds Sterling (GBP) via Stripe. Pro includes a 14-day free trial; cancel inside the trial to avoid charges. You can cancel any paid subscription at any time from Account → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds for partial months.
6. Data handling
See our Privacy Policy and Data Security pages. In summary: we store encrypted bytes, we never see the plaintext of your knowledge base. Draft generation uses Anthropic’s commercial API, which does not train on data and has a 30-day retention window for trust-and-safety only.
7. Intellectual property
You own your knowledge base and the drafts produced for you. We own the service itself — code, design, branding, and the drafter prompts. You grant us a limited licence to process your content as strictly necessary to deliver the service you’ve asked for (encryption, storage, draft generation).
8. Disclaimers and liability
encryptmyai is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, bug-free operation, or specific results from AI output.
Important: AI-generated drafts are starting points. You are the professional. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying every draft before using it in any professional, regulated, or client-facing context. We don’t accept liability for decisions made on the basis of unreviewed AI output.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing us or using the contact form. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email to your sign-in address. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the terms were most recently revised. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
